Jeronis the 2nd (The Druid Paladin Pirate, aka. the Bartender) Refuses to leave the pirate life, to the point he takes a deal for conditional immortality. Time passes and a unique living guest shows up at the Bar in Avernus.

2nd:
The law of the sea be a cruel master true indeed
It demands Vengeance even long beyond the grave.
even if the gods their sins had thus forgave.
I refuse to be the man I used to be
Although it means that history will forget my name and of me
This fate i now embrace
and so the story goes
where I'll die
even I don't for certain at all know

I refuse to e'er give up the pirate life
The refuse of the sea come to end their strife
Drink till they're dumb forget
why they came twas all fo naught
The they drift out
back into the world that money had bought

A deal I cannot resist
to not die till I wish.
"It's tempting. Can I be a pirate in a world of dust and ash where there is no sea?"
Avernus. It thus became my home that day. "A place where I can meet my past and future as they all come to rest till I'm done, I say."

Then a half-drow me walks into my door.

7th:
"The time has come, old man! no more!

I refuse! Let a good world thus waste away?
The truth you must accept this day!
Immortal life seems fun,
till there's untold damage done!
Grow up, oh 2nd me!
Face your death in full, finally."

I held on too long it seems.
3rd me does call out to be born
I have kept them waiting for the start of their own acursed heart song,
I admit: I was selfish and wrong

I refused to die a pointless death.
But the truth had me bereft of sanity:
The only thing fair in these spheres is how unjust this whole world is to all that are born and how they all shed tears

I refuse to let another world thus die
If I can save it by giving up my life
"Immortality" the cost to slow down
Aboleth rot
so I will give my self as though it were all for naught
